Rather, I advise my brothers in Islaam to seek knowledge, and by this I do not mean seeking knowledge from attending elementary school, and then secondary school, and then high school, and then a college or university, and after this seeking a master’s degree and then a doctarate degree, I do not mean this. I mean that you should seek beneficial knowledge; meaning from the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of the messenger of Allaah, may Allaah’s praise and salutations be upon him and his family. And perhaps after a period of three years, your level of knowledge may be superior to many of the holders of doctorate degrees. And from Allaah Alone we seek help and assistance.
